Old School Community Centre Project
The much-loved local primary school had to close its doors this summer as part of a restructuring of education on the island.
A group is now being put together, coordinated by Andrew Davidson, which is working on a business plan for a financially viable scheme which will enable the former school building to be leased, or possibly purchased, to provide a much needed community facility for the village and the surrounding area of South Wight.
At this stage, it is envisaged that the building will possibly be used as:
1. A local community centre
2. A fossil museum & centre
3. A local heritage museum
4. A pre-school nursery
